This years European Open
If you look below, I have clipped a section of an article about last years European open. This year the EO will be held at Syner Arena Athletic Stadium, Liberec, in the Czec Republic. We will be flying into Prague. They do not have a website up yet, I think that should be up and running sometime in Feb. I guess that is so that we can get our entries in.

Costs for Traveling to this Years European Open, are expected to be about $2500.

The dates are July 23 -25, 2010.

Last year out of 691 dogs entered, only 1 was a Golden Retreiver. There was also 1 Lab.

I will keep you updated as things progress. Thank you so much for your help with this.

What is the European Open?

The European Open, billed as the largest international agility event in the world, took place July 25 and 26, 2009, at Sportcomplex Papendal in Arnhem, Holland, an hour outside of Amsterdam, near the German border. Individual competition took place on the first day and team events on the second. Competitors enjoyed ideal weather as they tested themselves against challenging European courses and watched handling styles from all over the world.
The competition had an Olympic feel with an opening ceremony, complete with flags from each participating country. Also, at each awards ceremony, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners stood on raised podiums while listening to the national anthem of the 1st place team.

Who is Team Cheetah
My name is Wendy Pendleton and when I am not training or teaching agility, I am a high school biology/earth science teacher. I am also a part time agility instructor at Love on a Leash.

Cheetah is a 6 year old Golden Retriever. MACH ADCH Fireside's Screamin' Cheetah, CD, RN, MXF, TM-B. She is an amazing dog who has helped goes places with agility that I had never dreamed of going. We have traveled to Ohio, for our First National Championship when she was 3. Since then, we have participated in nationals at Tulsa, OK and Concord, NC. We plan to make the trip out to Tulsa again this March for our 4th AKC nationals. Additionally, we have attended the 2008 and 2009 World Team Tryouts, in MN. This was very exciting for us, since it was the first time either of us had flown. Some of the best dog and handler teams in the country are there and the competition is amazing! We plan to go Tryouts again this year.
